What is an electronic logbook?
An electronic or digital logbook replaces the paper logbook in the vehicle. Trips are recorded digitally with driver, vehicle, time, mileage and purpose of the trip and remain documented in a traceable way.
How does the FleetSwiss e-logbook work?
Employees book an available pool vehicle, scan the QR code on the vehicle, enter the mileage and purpose of the trip and start the trip. After the trip, the final mileage is entered. FleetSwiss documents driver, vehicle, time and trip.
Do I need an app?
No. FleetSwiss Digital Logbook does not require a separate app installation. The QR code on the vehicle can be scanned with a smartphone and opens FleetSwiss directly in the browser.
How does the QR code on the vehicle work?
A QR code is attached to the vehicle. Drivers scan it with their smartphone, FleetSwiss opens in the browser and, after logging in, they go directly to the right vehicle to start or end the trip.
Can several employees use the same pool vehicle?
Yes. Pool vehicles are allocated by time via booking. Every trip is documented with driver, time and mileage.
Can pool vehicles be booked online?
Yes. Employees see availability and book the desired vehicle for the required period.
Can trailers and other resources also be booked?
Yes. In addition to pool vehicles, trailers, replacement vehicles and other operational resources can also be managed. For resources that do not require a logbook, only the booking function can be used.
Can several companies use the same pool vehicles?
Shared pool resources can also be used across organisations with the appropriate permission and configuration. There is no automatic access within a group of companies.

Can FleetSwiss be extended to full fleet management later?
Yes. You can start with the electronic logbook and, if needed, extend to FleetSwiss Full Fleet Software or additionally to the FleetSwiss Fleet Management Service. We will prepare an individual offer for you.
